    Description

    National Instruments (NI) PCI-8232, combined GPIB controller and Gigabit Ethernet interface. Board fully tested and guaranteed functional. Board passes NI 488.2 self-tests, and has been tested to ensure ability to identify (scan GPIB bus) and communicate with GPIB instruments. The Ethernet port has been tested to properly operate at gigabit rate. Device driver identifies Ethernet as "Intel PRO/1000 MT Network Connection." The board has assembly part # 189761A-01 and is in very good condition.

    The NI PCI-8232 board is a high-performance Gigabit Ethernet interface for PCI based on the Intel 82540EM Gigabit Ethernet controller. It adds an IEEE 488 interface within the single-slot PCI board, saving a slot in your PC. The 1000 Mbits/s Gigabit Ethernet provides a substantial performance increase over 100 Mbits/s Fast Ethernet while remaining completely compatible with 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet networks.
